The Korea Press Foundation, a non-profit foundation for media and public interest, released a survey of 1,201 adults aged 20 or older across the country that showed that citizens spend an average of 122 minutes every day updating themselves on the news via 17 media outlets.

The media included terrestrial TVs stations, daily newspapers, radio, cable and satellite news channels, weekly magazines, free newspapers, internet portals and Internet media outlets.

Cable and satellite news channels were the third most popular means of access to the news, and radio was fourth. The survey said South Koreans spend an average of 10.7 minutes reading news on Internet sites.
